Overall Job Purpose
Direct and coordinate financial activities of workers in a branch, office, or department of an establishment, such as branch bank, brokerage firm, risk and insurance department, or credit department.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Reporting
Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing reports
Prepare financial or regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, or boards of directors.
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
Maintaining and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems
Prepare operational or risk reports for management analysis.
Financial Analytics
Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
Resolve accounting discrepancies
Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems
Interact with external auditors in completing audits
Oversee training programs.
Examine and or evaluate escalated loan applications.
Approve, reject, or coordinate the approval or rejection of lines of credit or commercial, real estate, or personal loans.
Oversee the flow of cash or financial instruments.
Financial Budgets
Analyse and review budgets and expenditures for Group and on branch level
Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents
Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control
Evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budgets.

Essential
BCom qualification
3-5 Years of related experience
MS Office with advanced excel skills
Syspro experience would be advantageous
