Articulate the business problems to be addressed by the DW
CPU performance tuning, defining CPU performance issues
Managing user time
Identify and remediate controlling CPU with resource governor
SQL Server I/O; designing file/file group layout and partitioning data; logging, writing, scanning and restoring
Physical layout considerations Tempdb
Extended events overview, analysing captured events system health event session
Storage area networks for DBAs: SAN components Shared vs. dedicated arrays pathing - multi-pathing cache (on the drives, SAN controller, RAID controller, and Windows)
Snapshot backups (SAN, not SQL) clustering
Waits and Queues: SPID
Query Plan Analysis
Understanding and investigating common operators  
Data file internals and maintenance; data file and file group layout allocation algorithms data file growth and
shrinking Instant file initialization Tempdb monitoring and troubleshooting
Failover Clustering; planning Active Directory, storage and networking setup quorums DTC
Installation performance tuning troubleshooting

4 - 7 Year's IT experience
4 - 7 Years Database experience
Solid SSIS knowledge (tuning, troubleshooting, hardware/architecture requirements)
ETL knowledge and understanding
TSQL Scripting experience
MCDBA (at latest SQL version or on back)
MSSQL 2008, 2012, 2014
SQL Mirroring
Microsoft SQL Server (administration Implementation)

SSRS beneficial
