There’s not a ton of room for people wanting to sit in a darkened room and just optimise code all day, this is work for people wanting eat elephants one bite a time; you’re probably that person who simply can’t understand why your current employer won’t let you implement that awesome feature you built at home last night; you’re the developer frustrated because the Udemy course you’ve just finished could change your project but your PM/Line doesn’t really want to hear you.

They’re not too picky about the buzzwords; you’ll need to know some basics. Beyond that, they’re happy to train
You’re going to find yourself needing to buy into OOP & Design Patterns
You’ll need a few years of C# commercial code under your belt – to get full rate, probably close to 10 but we’ve got room for 5 years up
Either heavyweight web skills – SPA, Angular, ASP.NET type tech OR
Strong backend – Rest, Web API, SQL
