A large Telecommunications Company,based in the City of Cape Town, is seeking to appoint a Desktop Support Technician.

Knowledge & Experience:

Matric Certificate (Grade12)
CompTIA A+ Essential
CompTIA N+ or IT Diploma , MCITP or MSCE 2012 (DesktopEngineer) (Current to within 18 months)
3 years’ experience with exposure to ITsystems in an environment with 60 or more users
Basic knowledge of IP networking andprotocols, e.g. HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, WINS, DHCP
Basic understanding of network services,e.g. email / internet / firewall / Proxy
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows clientoperating systems (Windows 7, 8x and 10 )
Above average knowledge of commonly usedapplications (Office 2013/16, , Internet Explorer)
Highly advanced computer literacy
Mobile device troubleshooting
Detailed knowledge of computer hardware (Desktops,laptops, components & peripherals)
