A company in Pretoria East is looking for a skilled Infrastructure Technician who can assist with in-house support. 1 - 2 years’ experience required.Helpdesk Support
• Assist users via Telephone or email
• Addressing all calls on the Helpdesk and making sure it gets resolved
• Install and Implement new servers, Linux and Windows
• Fully configuration of the following services
o DNS
o IIS, Apache
o Pop3 – Imail, Exchange
o Active directory
o MS SQL, MySQL
o VM Ware

Call types on Helpdesk
• Setup, configure all outlook and email problems
• Setup Dealer Management Connections
• Log and report of all Branch downs
• Install Backup client software
• Setup and configure Internet Explorer
• Report all Hardware faults with Dell
• Troubleshoot all Microsoft software problems
• Do attachment control
• Post all new Jobs on intranet
• Setup and trouble shoot all printers and print servers
• Remove viruses and spyware
• Setup Out of office for users

Hardware and Software
• Do the basic hardware setup – Install memory, HDD and Power supply
• Install operating system and apply all the required configs
• Install and trouble shoot all Desktop drivers
• Install 3G drivers and setting up on the APN
• Installing Desktop PC’s and printers
• Setting up HP Micro servers and configuring Raid
• Do basic config on Core servers and administrating Backup software and Antivirus

Wireless system
• Assist users to setup cameras on the wireless AP’s
• Setup of new routers and configuration of AP’s
• Troubleshoot Connection problems from routers to core
• Apply firewall rules on existing routers
• Creating new bridged connections
• Implementing QOS on all WIFI routers


Networking
• Install UTP cable
• Crimping RJ45’s
• Testing and tracing faulty network points
• Install routers and unmanageable switches
• Apply Access list to switches
• Basic troubleshoot on switches and routers
• Setup basic routing on Cisco routers
• Trouble shoot Cisco switch ports
• Implementing new IP ranges and making sure the routing is working
• Configure internet firewalls on Cisco and Linux

Reference for this position is Infrastructure Technician which is a permanent position based in Pretoria East offering a salary of R 12 000 – R 14 000 per month with Pension fund and Medical Aid. (Non negotiable)
