Required skills:

• A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in development/support and systems analysis Proficiency.
• Oracle Certification or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years solid software development
• A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in development/support and systems analysis
• Proficiency in
• o Relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL)
• o PL/SQL
• To be able to interpret requirements and design specifications
• To be analytical and pay attention to detail
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• To be a team player
• To have a strong customer focus
• To be organised and able to meet deadlines
• The ability to work in a pressurised environment
• Knowledge of the SDLC (specifically within a web and Java environment)
• Good communications - both written and verbal skills


Responsibilities Include:
• Create and develop reports using PL/SQL procedures and HTML for Accounting and Operational departments as well as clients
• Obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the business while mastering the associated data models for expansion and working with highly complex PL/SQL procedures
• Creating and maintaining batch loading and processing procedures using SQL Loader and PL/SQL procedures to synchronise the company’s system’s inventory with the remote systems and gateways
• Mentor and coordinate code modules to the various more junior developers

The reference for this job is ND29415. This is a permanent position based in Cape Town - offering a salary of R600K-R550K per annum cost to company – depending on experience.
