Overall job purpose:


Illovo Sugar, Africa is currently busy with a large strategic business and IT transformation and part of this roadmap included the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors EC, as well as SAP S4 HANA.
This role is to be the dedicated Illovo HCM Solution Architect for the design and implementation of SAP SF integration project, owning the design of all 3rd party integration, the associated 3rd party functional designs and engagements, and requisite 3rd party solution changes to accommodate the new integration flows.
• Initiate, plan, and structure changes needed to move SAP SuccessFactors integration through the new integration platform (Flowgear), review and re-design any processes that will be required to support direct integration for SAP SF, all time management systems and Payroll
• Provides the necessary leadership, analysis, planning, and design insights to actively support the deployment of the project
• Evaluate and analyse the existing integration flows and processes between SAP SF and other 3rd parties to plan the exact scope of the project
• Scope and Design the replacement of existing integration flows that go into the legacy systems with new interfaces through the Illovo integration platforms (Flowgear and SAP BTP)
• Design and execute the parallel testing of any payroll impacts and changes for all countries
• Plan the timing and decommissioning of existing interfaces to ensure business and system stability
• Design the integration of SAP SF to align with the SAP S4 HANA requirements
• Provides the necessary thought leadership to business through the analysis and design tasks related to supporting the architecting and development of the integrated SF solution.

Key accountabilities:

• SAP SF Lead Solution Architect:
o Assessment of proposed integration solutions of all systems impacting employee records, time management and compensation management
o Design and development of integration for SAP SF, determining skills of the team required and resourcing of the team, over and above the SI partner
o Creating and developing of project documentation (Business requirements, Functional designs, FDS, test scripts, training material) required for integration between SAP SF and other systems
o Facilitate required design workshops.
o Own all 3rd party relationships and securing of resources to deliver on requirements between SAP SF and other applications
o Clearly define and manage dependencies between 3rd parties, other projects and the SF project
o Manage and ensure readiness of 3rd party development and testing to align with SAP SF and the SAP S4 HANA streams and milestones
o Provide visibility of any business and technology impacts on project and actively managed dependencies
o Assess end-to-end processes, closing of gaps and integration needs to make these processes work efficiently – technical and functional
o Ensure aligned and co-ordinated go-live activities with relevant SI Partners and 3rd party suppliers
o Identify audit and security requirements and tasks required for compliance
o Identify any 3rd party requirements to support the processes in SAP SFand facilitate the functional design and integration for the 3rd party into the new S4 HANA solution,
o Own related 3rd party interactions and delivery
o Manage definition and implementation of business continuity plans associated with 3rd party integration
o Facilitate connectivity between SAP and Non-SAP for integration testing and Go-live
o Give input to impact assessments for system changes and replacement of solutions
o Ensure business leads are equipped with relevant information to support business readiness and manage execution for go-live activities
o Training material development and templates for standard processes
o Enable and validate the quality of Integration and User acceptance testing of systems end-to-end
o Identify any issues, risks and mitigating actions, escalate to programme management.
o Validate testing results from SI partner and 3rd parties
o Provide test data for Integration and UAT scripts
o Design audit controls for system migration and go-live
o Align processes for post go-live monitoring and setup activities with support structures


Qualifications and experience:

• IT Diploma or degree
• SAP SF background
• SAP BTP an advantage
• Understanding of related HCM processes
• Detail understanding of integration protocols and platforms
• IT Application management


Work environment:

Travel Requirements Hybrid, onsite when required
Hours of Work 8h00 – 16h30
