Role details:
As a PL/SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining database applications and solutions to support our financial operations and services. Your expertise in PL/SQL programming and understanding of financial systems will be vital in optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity.

Duties include:Database Development: Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable PL/SQL code to create, modify, and maintain database structures, functions, triggers, stored procedures, and packages.
Data Modeling: Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design logical and physical data models that meet the requirements of the financial institution's applications.
Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in PL/SQL code and database queries, ensuring optimal system response times and resource utilization.
Data Integrity and Security: Implement and enforce data security measures, access controls, and data validation rules to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of financial data.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate and resolve database-related issues, bugs, and errors, working closely with cross-functional teams to diagnose and rectify problems promptly.
System Integration: Integrate PL/SQL solutions with other applications, systems, and data sources within the financial institution's technology landscape.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute unit tests and support quality assurance efforts to ensure the reliability and accuracy of PL/SQL code.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, and operational manuals.
Role requirements:
- Certifications in Oracle Database Administration or PL/SQL development are advantageous.
- At least 5 years' experience as a PL/SQL Developer with a focus on database development and optimization, preferably in the financial services domain.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including experience with stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
- Solid understanding of database design principles and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in large-scale database environments.
- Familiarity with financial data structures, calculations, and processes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of data security and access controls in compliance with industry regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality solutions on time.
- Experience with version control systems and agile development methodologies is a plus.
