JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Purpose ofposition:
 
Develop andmanage a strategy, which will optimise the product/brand performance in the market place whileachieving the objectives set by both the vendor and the company. This will necessitate themanagement of products from “cradle to grave” with specific focus on sales andmarketing.
 
Key Responsibility Areas:
 

Responsible for total sales number for product range

Drive sales team to growvendor revenue in existing install base accounts and new accounts, through focused marketingstrategies, campaigns and end user enablement.

Ensure that sales team isrepresenting the interests of all the focused within each respective partner.

Provide accurate and regular sales forecasts and business updates to management & tovendors.

Work with sales team to ensure that each sales opportunity is driven asproactively as possible;

Engage in collaborative, strategic and tactical businessplanning with key partners:- o             Identify new markets o          Understand the partner sales process anddevelop a sales and marketing strategy to best suit the partner.

Develop salestools to assist partner sales and pre sales. o     Develop sales and marketingstrategy to mine existing customer base.

Identify key new accounts and design asales approach to bring new customers on board.

Assist partner with broad-basemarketing to promote their business o            Assist partner with customerreference sites o       Create and promote high impact and innovativemarketing programs and initiatives within the partners to generate new opportunities

Design partner enablement plans, to ensure partner resources are skilled in the marketingprograms and products they are going to drive

Develop enable programs for partnersto drive into their existing and prospective base



Use best practicesfor opportunity management, account planning and forecasting

Key role in definingand implementing vendors overall strategy within the organization

Align vendorsstrategic focus to company’ resources and structures
             

Developing and managing the Vendor Relationship across a broad spectrum i.e. Local andinternational.

Understanding the various target markets and mapping theorganizations focus to these markets

Defining & developing partners focus bystrategically aligning each partner to the objectives set out by the vendor, understanding how todevelop partners and into what markets

Implementing Go To Market Programs to drivefocus products and solutions

Assisting in the Recruiting and development of newvendor partners in the respective territories or markets.

Managing the vendorpartner program.

Managing internal training and skills development for vendorproducts, ensuring that the staff has the skill to represent the vendor’s interests.

Defining & executing skills development programs for partners.

Workingwith partners to devise growth strategies and implementing these strategies

Marketproducts and manage the sales process:- o      Identify and implement marketstrategies o Disseminate product information

Grow market share

Identify new business opportunities

Education & Experience:
  Matriccertificate with exemption (essential)
Marketing orcommerce degree or diploma (preferred) 2 years sales experience in the IT industry (Essential), inIT distribution (preferred)
 
  2 years sales experience selling tolarge corporate customers (preferred)
 
  Account management experience(essential)
