DescriptionThe main purpose of the position is to: effectively manage field activities of a team of mechanics and / or subcontractors installing new elevators / escalators aiming at highest customer satisfaction and focus on managing cost, ensuring highest safety standards. Please see below is a summary of the duties, which the incumbent will be responsible for.
Quality Management / Delivery
Responsible for the quality of installed units according to contract requirements as per the Otis standards with special focus on ride quality.
Provide onsite Supervision and ensure proper jobsite preparation and perform regular site checks.
Ensure that logistics management & material ordering are done as per the requirements progress of the job site.
Ensure the management of the tooling and platforms and ensure the offloading of material and the distribution there of is done in accordance the progression of the jobsite.
Ensure that the resource planning and the management of the AMT process is effectively planned.
Ensure compliance with SIP & Field Installation Absolutes.
Manage “Construction to Service” and notified bodies Handover, proper completion of handover tests including FPCs.
Ensure compliance with CE certification
Resources and materials delivery management.
Safety Management
Improve safety Culture and perform regular site Safety Checks.
Perform FPA, WWJSS, Cardinal Rules safety awareness training & communication; Toolbox Talks.
Conduct incident investigations and review near hits and perform FPA and safety inspections, i.e. PPE
Perform Accreditation Checks of subcontractors & perform Supplier Method.
Set up and execute a “Working at Height” plan and perform critical step verification on site
Review & complete when necessary daily “Go – No Go” checklists.
Customer Management
Keep relationships with key customers and perform installation planning management.
Monitoring of contract agreements and customer requirements.
Collaborate with sales force and Trade Co-ordination on job-site
Perform Customer Handover.
Liaise and manage order booking with the sales departments prior to confirmation. Contributes to the development of new equipment projects in the region.
People Management
Performance feedback & management and coaching of employees
Perform disciplinary actions & recognition
Ensure required training is given to team members and subcontractors.
Resource identification and resource allocation based on project planning and constraints
Support communication of incentive plan rules and pay-outs
Subcontractor Management
Selection and procurement of subcontractors according to Otis standards with support of supply chain organization
Ensure relevant training (technical and Safety) and review contract agreement, follow up
Perform periodical evaluation, audits (Safety, Process adherence and Quality)
Ensure compliance with subcontractor Absolutes as communicated by Otis.
Expenditure / KPI Management
Efficiency and subcontractor performance tracking and follow up
Plan & follow up on material & labour cost
Perform data analysis & action taking
Regularly monitoring of KPI and actions taking in case of deviations
Forecasting of following monthly spend on ongoing projects.
Time-sheet processing and approval.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION REQUIREMENTSProfessional degree, Bachelor degree or similar in Engineering or Construction. Technical understanding of the construction industry and preferably in the elevator and escalator environment.Professional experience min. 3 years; preferably construction backgroundExperience of working in a fast-paced, customer-focused organizationValid driver’s license in countryPERSONAL ATTRIBUTESCustomer FocusedCommunication SkillsAbility to lead and manage a team of AdjustersMust take accountability for his jobMust be result drivenAttention to detailsAbility to take his own initiatives.The positon is mostly site based and daily site visits will be required.
