Our client in Johannesburg is looking for a Test Automation EngineerMinimum Requirements:

2 - 3 years of experience regarding excellent knowledge of testing methodologies



Job Responsibilities entail and successful candidate should be able to do the following:

Complete test cases according to functional test specifications
Run automated test scripts
Design automated tests
Write automated test scripts
Tool-smith for software requirements to aid testing effort
Log bugs/defect reports in defect logging application
Effectively communicate bugs/defects with product managers and developers
Effectively communicate automated test results to project stake-holders
Advise project stake-holders on product readiness for UAT
Update test cases according to functionality changes
Design test cases for medium and high priority projects
Test specification reviews and sign-off



Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas:

Testing
Test analysis
Software development exposure
Experience in logging and tracking defects from open to close, using an issue tracking tools such as JIRA, Quality Centre etc.
Handson testing experience within a whole range of functional testing including UAT, acceptance and system testing
Hands-on experience in the creation of automated test scripts using HP QTP
Hands-on experience with HP LoadRunner would be advantageous
Software development experience with Java and/or .NET technologies
Very good knowledge of testing methodologies
Test analysis knowledge
Intermediate SQL knowledge
Good – very good Windows operating system knowledge
Good PC hardware
