Urgently looking for a Data Warehouse ManagerResponsibilities

Lead Business Intelligence strategic initiatives.
Communicate effectively and ensure support across the organization at different levels
Present the business with the possibilities available to them through data warehousing.
Think and act strategically, and influence key stakeholders across the organization.
Understand and ensure the application of proven data warehouse methodologies and principles.
Ensuring integration between all components necessary to successfully implement solutions.
Working extensively with business users to understand their needs, processes and business challenges and translate them into requirements in order to deliver the appropriate tactical or strategic solutions, adding business value via Business Intelligence.
Align with enterprise strategic objectives and create efficiencies by investigating and analyzing available alternatives.
Produce options and assess them for both technical and business viability, leveraging existing technologies where feasible alternately overseeing and managing Proof Of Concepts in order to select the most suitable option.
Presenting proposals based on above criteria to stakeholders.
Follow formal processes for approval once stakeholder buy in has been secured.
Implement cost effective, robust solutions (scalable, secure, reliable, manageable).
Partner with internal teams and vendor partners to provide technical leadership in order to design, develop and support effective BI solutions based on the technical solution.
Using proven modelling techniques, to produce the technical documents required by developers for development of new solutions or modified processes (Physical model, source to target, ETL rules etc).
Ensure database models are scalable and fulfill the business requirements.
Liaise with end users, software vendors and developers in order to achieve desired outcomes.
Ensure Development teams understand the required technical documents.
Provide guidance & support to developers during implementation with regards to any development decisions.
Perform minimal development for in-house maintenance / enhancement initiatives when required.
Perform system testing & validation of results when required.
Quality Assurance of developed solutions.
Ensure development and implementation of end user environment as well as ensure training for the Data Warehouse user community.
Oversee and contribute to user training manuals.
Serve as a change agent and liaison between technical and business entities within the organization to understand and adopt solutions.

Project Management:
Manage all aspects of a Business Intelligence technical roadmap, including platform requirements and support for end-user tools.
Overseeing implementation of solutions including data migration where applicable.

Relationship Management:
Interact closely with the business partners, internal clients, in the form of Knowledge share sessions and Steering committees.
Develop and build strong relationships within and across lines of business and use communication skills to influence and accomplish strategic Business Intelligence objectives

Strategic Management:
To strategically align the implementation of new Business Intelligence Initiatives.
To strategically align Hardware and Software platforms in line with Strategic business requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree in computer science / Information Technology or a related discipline, with:
Minimum of 5 years of Data warehouse Management experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Warehouse Modeling (Conceptual & Logical & Physical Data Models)
Extensive and practical Involvement and experience in the full Data Warehouse development life cycle.
Extensive knowledge in Data Integration, ODS, Data Warehousing and BI reporting & Analytics Architecture & Implementation.
Extensive knowledge of business intelligence best practices, processes, tools, standards, and methodologies.
Working knowledge of the breadth of business intelligence tools available and the ability to develop a cohesive technology road map that balances end-user needs with supportability.
Extensive knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools (DataStage Enterprise Edition Preferred)
Hands-on experience with semantic-layer BI solution design.
Experience with BI Reporting and Analytics Tools (Business Objects and Tableau advantage)
Practical experience using Datastage 7.5 and/or Datastage v8.x Enterprise Edition Advantageous.
