The Role Grade 12 Matric and 3-5 yearsequivelant work experience.
Key Accountabilities
Reconciliation of theDARA recons - performed daily:
? Importing daily bank statements ,interfaces into DARA
Perform all manual control
? Perform all recons and following up on any outstanding recons items andqueries.
? Perform and Prepare Monthly recons
Accurate and effective clearing of all unreconciled items
Reporting and escalating of alllong outstanding items
Investigating queries within 24 hours of receipt and resolving them in reasonabletime
Accurately and effectively attending to other tasks that may be allocated to you from timeto time by the Team leader or Manager
Assist in other areas of the Finance division
Dealing with queries from theClient and resolve them, if unresolved escalate to the Team Leader.
Liaise with Internal Auditorsand handle their queries
Assist with operational reporting on a monthly basis
Conduct Testing on New releases to ensure that anychanges made on the system are working well.
Internal/ExternalReporting:
Month end Risk Reporting
Executive Summary Reports
Client/Supplierinteraction:
Preparation of related reporting for Client Packs
Skills & Experience
Product Knowledge an advantage
2 years experience in aInternational enviroment, Unit Trust, LISP environment , or financial services institution anadvantage
5 years general ledger and bank reconciliation experience
Must Be Computerliterate
Understanding of Banking transactional systems
AWD or similar workflow experience anadvantage
Knowledge of accounting soft ware an advantage (e.g. Sun account, Vision, Dara)
Computer literate - Microsoft packages, Excel (intermediate), Word, Outlook, Accountingand Reconciliation packages
Strong numerical ability
Strong reconciliation ability with a demonstrated trackrecord.
Problem solving abilities.
Good knowledge of the Investment Industry
