Job Description: Contribute to budget setting.
Manage and control individual and relevant intervention, project and programme costs.
Manage and maintain good stakeholder relationships.
Understand customer needs and supplier contribution and utilize to drive optimal operational results.
Ensure team manages and delivers on internal and external stakeholder requirements/ SLAs.
Contribute to and deliver on BU goals and activities aligned to strategy.
Demonstrate innovative thinking in area of expertise and translate this into business process/ solutions/ working practice improvements.
Deliver client or company specific projects in line with company standards and in agreement with line manager.
Identify and scope opportunities for improvement / innovation.
Develop and maintain the organisations current and future technology architecture and design a structure that is stable and resilient.
Determine technology requirements by analysing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems.
Oversee the design, assessment, selection, application and maintenance of major technology structures.
Function as an interpreter or an intermediary, identifying solution needs of a particular group and explaining the importance and use of technology applicable for them.
Work with the Project Managers, Business Analysts & Data Architect to develop high level project schedule resource plans for implementation of projects.
Partner with the organisation to understand organisational and departmental strategy and agree information systems solutions to meet needs.
Maintain an awareness of business solutions, created operated and distributed to clients.
Investigate information systems that might benefit the business and future projects.
Assist the organisation in maximising technology and use knowledge of IT solutions to drive organisational change and support business process design.
Understand architecture design and support development team in developing solutions.
Provide input into relevant policies and procedures.
Comply with relevant policies & procedures, regulation and legislation.
Identify, mitigate and escalate risks appropriately.
Manage employees through the employee lifecycle including, recruit, manage performance and reward.
Build a high performance team through regular individual and team engagement sessions, Identify talent, coach and develop to ensure talent retention.
Ensure skills transfer and contribute to a positive team culture.
Ensure self and team stay abreast of technical skills and industry developments.
Required Skills and Background:
Payments Technology Architecture important;
ISO Message standards knowledge, advantage;
Excellent technology solution experience;
Requirements Analysis;
Project Management;
Relevant Developing and Programming Languages (E.g.XML, Java, HTML and other programming languages);
Network architecture, design & security experience;
Platform and operating system architecture, design, security & administration experience;
Optimization of office automation disciplines in support of enhance customer end user experience;
Database Management, Security and administration experience.
Required Qualification:
Appropriate diploma i.e. M+2 or appropriate degree i.e. M+3;
Related IT Qualification or equivalent work experience;
Relevant IT framework certifications (TOGAF, ITIL,COBIT) would be an advantage;
Experience (including relevant financial sector specific experience).
Experience in Payments & ISO Messaging very important and a definite plus;
Minimum 5 years experience in Technology and/or Information Architecture.
