A Cape Town based company is offering the opportunity to a Software Tester to join their team as a GUI Tester at an Intermediate level. You will work on a client product with various teams. This role is both Manual Test execution and Automation.Qualification:

Matric

Tertiary IT related qualification



Skills & Experience:

At least 2 years’ experience in software and web application testing

Basic understanding of scripting languages

A good understanding of the software development process (Waterfall/Agile Scrum methodology)

Analytical skills

Experience in using automation tools and developing automation scripts

Advantageous:

Experience working on large systems

ISEB Certification

Experience working with Jira



Job Description:

Your main duties will include executing test cases (both Manual and Automated), execute regression tests and perform exploratory functional testing and automating relevant test cases. You will also be required to log and verify defects in defect tracking system, document, and track and validate reported issues through resolution and follow up defects and fixes with development and support.
