The purpose of this position is to support in-house users on Sage X3 and related IT issues.Be the inhouse Sage X3 Technical Consultant
Advise management on the potential growth of Sage X3 within the Group
Possible and likely travel to African counties to roll out the X3 product to branches in Africa (along with an Implementation Consultant)
Become the Sage X3 champion of the Group
Produce Project Plans regarding future roll outs as well as plans to ensure that the potential of the product is realised.
Although reporting to IT you would have a dotted line to Finance and work closely with them to improve financial processes and fully utilise the capabilities of Sage X3
•Develop queries and reports in support of business operations and management requirements
Be involved in the user testing of all new development changes that could affect the X3 platform
Assist in training users on Sage X3 functionality
• B.Com Finance degree or equivalent or
• BSc – IT/Engineering or equivalent
• IT Diploma – Microsoft Platform
Technical skills and experience
• 3 years hands on experience with Sage X3
• Preferably been involved in at least one full Sage X3 implementation
• Experience in Sage X3 Finance and Distribution
• Strong Microsoft Platform experience (Server and Database)
• Report writing skills – Crystal Reporting and SQL Scripting
• Middleware knowledge to move data from X3 to other applications and vice versa
• Ability to Support Users on all/most IT and X3 queries
