Main Purpose of the Job (In one sentence)
Establishes andmaintains network performance by designing and building network configurations and connections,troubleshooting network problems. High level Network designs and roadmaps.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks

• Establishesnetworking environment by designing network architecture and system configuration; performing systeminstallation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
• Design Networkroadmaps, create SOP’S processes, policies and architecture designs.
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting networkproblems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating on network optimization.
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoringaccess.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professionalorganizations.
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission bycompleting related results as needed.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of thebasics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security,IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing,SPAM, etc.)
• Configure and setup Cisco Firewalls, VPN and Security appliances foraccess to vital business applications
• Design, setup and configure complexswitching environments
• Design, setup and configure complex wireless networkingthat supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking
• Assistin the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, Ether-Channel(Bonding), etc.
• Configuring and installing client and server network software forupgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
• Maintainingmulti-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenancewith both private and public facilities
• Managing assigned projects and programcomponents to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
• Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personneland outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support
• Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensureavailability of services to authorized users.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions ofnetwork hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operationalissues and restore services.
• Any other duties as assigned by management
