Overall Job Purpose:

To support the Governance and Reporting Manager and Head of Technology Risk: Central Services within Africa Technology Risk, who are responsible for reporting on executive Management Information (MI) for distribution within Africa Technology and to Group, by delivering highly meticulous monthly and adhoc reports, presentations and dashboards within agreed timeframes.

Accountability: Identify Reporting Requirements:

Engage with the Governance and Reporting Manager to identify new report requirements

Accountability: Analyse data and convert into usable management information (MI):

Keep up to date with the data elements that are available within Absa and Barclays Convert data extracts into relevant information using various reporting toolsets (Excel, Power Point, and Word) that enable reporting Deliver relevant Management Information Service (MIS) reports and Business Dashboards Use the standard reporting framework to fulfil most requests
Identify new elements of data when required by the business area; update the data definitions and communicate them to impacted contributors Ensure the continuity of monthly MI into reports

Accountability: Ensure accuracy of reports produced:

Providing support to Manco and Line Managers by performing QA, grammar and spelling reviews on documentation produced Ensuring continuous improvements to existing reports and presentations Engage stakeholders and be fully involved in progress and delivery Stay abreast with knowledge and skills relevant to the level and area of work

Accountability: Prepare reports for relevant forums:

Draft the reporting timelines and planners for the forums reported at Track progress against reporting timelines and communicate potential delays to management in a timely manner Communicate data requirements to Heads of Technology Risk Prepare draft reporting packs (including, but not limited to Technology Key Risk Forum and IT Committee) by analysing data sets and translating them into usable MI, completing formatting requirements and submitting it to Heads of Risk for commentary

Accountability: Manage the Key Risk Indicator Reporting Process:

Develop, implement and maintain IT Governance in terms of the following initiatives in line with Barclays Africa Group guidelines:

o Technoligy Risk Indicators
o Technolgoy Key Risk forums
o Technology Key Risk Reporting

Evolve IT Governance into a pro-active and functionally excellent division from all aspects of Governance as defined by internal stakeholders, including Enterprise wide Risk Management, Absa Internal Audit and external stakeholders Obtain Key Risk Indicator (KRI) data from various stakeholders, analyse data, and prepare KRI report on a monthly basis and distribute to global teams Obtain commentary and action plans for all KRI’s that are out of threshold on a monthly basis and distribute to global teams Engage with KRI owners on a quarterly basis to obtain acknowledgements for data reported during the quarter and distribute to global teams Assist with the administration and co-ordination of special events that falls within the responsibilities of the Head of Central Services for Technology Risk Assist with the definition and documentation of required Governance Models

Education and Experience Required:

Three (3) year BCom degree – IT is an advantage
Three (3) years’ experience within a technology risk environment Three (3) years within office administration role

Knowledge & Skills: (Maximum of 6) Good knowledge of Africa Technology and the Africa Technology Risk function.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet Exposure to Risk and Compliance within Absa BU's
