Business Intelligence Competency Centre (BICC)

We’re looking to add great new talent to our Business Intelligence Competency Centre for an assertive and independent Senior Business Analyst. The candidate will play an intermediary role between the technical team and the business assisting in the definition and implementation of BI projects for the Group. Key performance areas:

• Responsible for the definition of user requirements for BI projects
• Conduct workshops and JAD sessions determining the business requirements
• Produce detailed written business requirements
• Define business specification documentation from the business requirements and produce flowcharts to clarify business understanding
• Assist developers with unit and integration testing
• General trouble shooting of production problems
• Work across functional and technical teams
• Provide post roll out support to business

To qualify for this position, you will need:

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Extensive BI and Data Warehousing background and experience
• Strong data modelling experience
• Good interpersonal skills
• Planning and organising skills
• Sound business acumen
• High level of influence and credibility
• Strategic thinking ability, with an analytical approach to problem solving
• Effective communication skills
• Good facilitation skills
• A strong customer service focus
• To be able to anticipate and evaluate the impact of possible problem solutions prior to implementation
• To provide the critical after roll out change management support
• To be self-motivated and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• To be able to work as part of a team

Experience and/or knowledge that will be to your advantage:

• Experience with BI/Reporting tools (PowerBI, Business Objects, Microsoft Analysis Services, etc.)
• Previous experience in Retail and/or Supply Chain BI initiative
• Understanding of or experience in Tableau
