Role DescriptionIT Procurement Consultant Stellenbosch Our client is looking for a candidate experienced in ITprocurement to join their team based in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be required tohave good Microsoft Product knowledge, both on the licensing and hardware side. Our client is amanaged service provider of cloud and IT services with data centers. Job Purpose The SeniorProcurement Consultant is responsible for the timely and cost-effective sourcing of products andservices in accordance with the company’s procurement policies and procedures. This positionworks closely with internal business units and external suppliers, vendors and clients to ensure thedelivery of the best hardware and software solutions. This position is IT focused and the incumbentmust have experience in IT procurement. Description Manage the timely execution of theprocurement process by: Reviewing and action opportunities and/or tickets assigned Creating quotesand delivering to internal/external customer Create purchase orders Communicate with internal andexternal customer on ETA’s Create invoices Liaise with client to ensure payments are madeEnsure delivery and/or installation of products/services Deal with relevant credit queries byworking with the customer and finance department Manage and execute hardware and software renewalsand warrantees Research and supplier selection that strategically align with company policies andprocesses Research and select appropriate hardware and or software products to fulfil designrequirements for internal or external customer. Negotiate competitive pricing with suppliersResearch, update and maintain software and relevant hardware pricing guide and consider exchangerates where applicable Provide insight and suggestions in order to improve procurement processes andpolicies Maintain relevant competencies for partner status Oversee inventory and logisticsmanagement Manage incentive programs with vendors and suppliers Manage distribution of Licensingkeys Manage user rights/permissions for vendors Manage contracts/agreements with vendors andsuppliers Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units, suppliers, vendorsand clients. Communicate regularly with internal business units about new products and solutions.Collaborate with internal business units, suppliers, vendors and clients
Skills and Experience
Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the IT resellerenvironment appropriate to role requirement (hardware or software) Other Requirements You willbe required to travel to clients. Own vehicle and a valid driver’s license is required. Contact: Arina.Liebenberg@eoh.com
