Role details:

To provide leadership and strategic management in infrastructure and cloud solutions to transform IT and realise the digitalisation journey for our clients. To lead the provision of support to internal systems within BCX for
positioning in the broader Cloud Services

• Develop the Infrastructure & Cloud Services strategy, accounting for current and future market forces and movements and in alignment with the overall Enterprise
Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions strategy. Determine product sets and define the go-to-market strategy in support of Group strategic drivers.
• Lead the administration and maintenance of Infrastructure & Cloud Solutions in alignment with high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined within negotiated and agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts.
• Participate in the design of Cloud-based infrastructure solutions working alongside Cloud Architects and service domains (e.g., Web, Database, Storage, Networking,
IAM) to ensure that initial and anticipated future business requirements are represented.
• Manage the development and implementation of processes and procedures to maintain or recover the delivery of systems and services in the event of any
physical, technical or environmental disaster or major outage, providing continuity of service to customer.
• Ensure that all the different service domains (e.g., Web, Database, Storage, Networking, IAM) are delivering their piece. Serve as a proxy between the different service domains and the client when questions or issues surface.
• Manage and/or oversee multiple, large-scale, concurrent projects to successful completion in accordance with scope, budget and service level agreements.
• Manage the identification and mitigation of strategic risk within Infrastructure & Cloud Services.
• Promote and facilitate optimum engagement between BCX Divisions and establish and enhance relationships and network with strategic partners, customers and
vendors to create market dominance.
• Provide thought leadership and embed a culture of innovation through leveraging intellectual property, research and development to support, fund and facilitate
strategic innovation projects.
• Provide technical input into proposals, RFPs or client discussions in support of the sales process.
• Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders along the value chain that will enable the delivery of integrated ICT solutions to the strategic corporate customers.
• Manage financial performance continuously against set financial targets, forecast and identifying new opportunities for improved performance.
• Manage the annual budget and forecasts within strategic guidelines, directing and coordinating activities to achieve revenue and cost containment targets.
• Work proactively to build and maintain a highly engaged team staffed with top talent. Hires, retains, develops and engages top level talent that inspires the trust and confidence of our clients and in turn becomes the reason why clients want to work with BCX.
• Foster a culture of performance excellence, employee engagement and transformation


- 8 to 10 years’ experience in cloud and related infrastructure services, within a large and highly complex organisation, of which 3 years is at a senior management level.
- Alternatively, 11+ years’ experience in cloud and related infrastructure services, of which 3 years is at a senior management level


- Relevant post graduate degree (NQF 8) in Business or Information Technology or related.
- Alternatively, Grade 12 (NQF 4) with relevant IT certification
